Family Class: Dinner with Disney and Chef Liz

Step into a little kitchen magic with our “Dinner with Disney” Family Cooking Class with Chef Liz! In this hands-on experience, we will cook together while celebrating some of the most delicious moments from classic Disney films. Perfect for kids and adults alike, this class turns beloved movie-inspired dishes into a fun, interactive culinary adventure.

We’ll start by channeling our inner chef like Remy from Ratatouille as we prepare “Remy’s Soup,” a cozy, flavorful vegetable soup inspired by the famous moment when Remy combines ingredients to create something extraordinary. Next, we’ll roll up our sleeves to make “Meatzaballs,” a playful take on the iconic spaghetti and meatballs scene from Lady and the Tramp—perfect for sharing with family just like in the movie.

To finish, we’ll whip up the famous “Grey Stuff” dessert inspired by Beauty and the Beast. As Lumière says, “Try the grey stuff—it’s delicious!” This sweet treat will be our magical ending to the evening.

Along the way, family pairs will learn simple cooking techniques, kitchen teamwork, and creative plating ideas—all while enjoying Disney-inspired fun. Whether you’re a seasoned home cook or just starting out, this class is a wonderful way to bond, laugh, and create a meal worthy of a fairy-tale ending.

While the pancake bakes, we will learn how to make sweet-and-savory candied bacon with the perfect caramelized crunch. Then we’ll whip up fluffy egg frittatas packed with flavorful ingredients, practicing knife skills, teamwork, and stovetop safety along the way.

Join us in The Dirty Apron kitchen for a hands-on pie-making experience with Chef Amy that’s equal parts cozy and delicious! In this interactive class, we’ll learn how to make homemade pie crust from scratch—mixing, rolling, and shaping dough together as a team.

First, we’ll create a comforting chicken pot pie filled with tender chicken and vegetables in a creamy, savory sauce, all tucked inside a flaky, golden crust. Then we’ll switch gears and use that same dough to make sweet hand pies, filled with fruity goodness and sealed with fun decorative edges.

Along the way, we will practice kitchen safety, teamwork, and baking basics while learning how one versatile dough can create both savory and sweet dishes. We’ll finish by gathering around the table to enjoy our homemade pies and celebrate a job well done.

Join Chef Amy as we step into the world of handmade dumplings! In this interactive cooking class, you’ll learn the art of filling, folding, and cooking two delicious styles of dumplings—one steamed and one pan-seared.

First, we’ll create a shumai-style dumpling with an open top and flavorful savory filling, learning how to shape and steam them to tender perfection. Then we’ll move to pot sticker–style dumplings, mastering the classic pleated fold and cooking them to achieve that irresistible crispy-bottom, juicy-center combination.

To finish, families will whisk together a balanced dipping sauce and explore how simple ingredients like soy sauce, vinegar, and aromatics come together for bold flavor. Along the way, you’ll practice knife skills, teamwork, and kitchen safety while discovering techniques used in dumpling-making traditions around the world.

Get ready to roll, fill, and flip! In this hands-on class, kids will learn how to make pupusas—the delightful, cheesy stuffed tortillas from El Salvador. Young chefs will get messy with dough, stuff their own creations with delicious beans and cheese, and cook them up to enjoy hot and fresh. We will also make a fresh Curtido (Salvadoran cabbage slaw) and salsa roja to accompany our pupusas.

Pack your culinary passport and get ready to explore! In this fun, hands-on class, kids will learn how handheld foods are enjoyed around the world—starting with Italy’s favorite portable bite: the calzone. Young chefs will mix and roll dough, choose tasty fillings, fold their calzones into perfect pockets, and bake them to golden deliciousness. We will even make our own ranch dressing for dipping! We will then prepare a fresh salad to enjoy with our calzones. It’s a delicious way to spark curiosity, build kitchen confidence, and taste global flavors one handheld treat at a time!
