Basics of Breadmaking: Go-To Sandwich Breads with Chef Amy

Join Chef Amy for a hands-on cooking class celebrating the art of sandwich-making, where bread takes center stage! In this flavorful session, we’ll explore the nuances of two delicious homemade loaves—soft, buttery Classic White Bread and hearty, textured Rye Oatmeal Bread.

We'll learn how to bake these breads from scratch, discovering techniques for perfect crusts, airy crumbs, and rich flavor. Then, we’ll turn them into next-level sandwiches with fresh, high-quality ingredients and creative pairings that highlight the unique qualities of each loaf.

Whether you're a beginner baker or a sandwich connoisseur, this class will leave you with new skills, great recipes, and a belly full of deliciousness.

Adult Breadmaking Classes are 21 and older only. The group will work together (in groups of 4), sharing equipment and workstations in this hands-on breadmaking class taught by our instructor.  One can expect about 4 hours total to include instruction and some time to enjoy the fruits of your labor with new friends.  Each class will require standing, cooking, and working for most of the class. Please wear long hair tied back and comfortable, closed-toed shoes for safety.  There will be no allergy modifications made for this class type.
